25/01/2010 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 25 January, the European Commission cleared the planned acquisition of the German cable network operator Unitymedia GmbH (active only in the Länder of North Rhine-Westphalia and Hesse) by Dutch company Liberty Global Europe Holding B.V., another cable network operator, currently active in nine member states, including Austria (but not Germany).
