05/01/2010 (Agence Europe) - Annual inflation rose by 0.9% in December 2009 in the Euro area, according to a flash estimate issued by Eurostat on Tuesday 5 January. As expected, after a rise of 0.5% in November, prices rose more sharply. This is the highest annual increase recorded over the last 10 months. (A.B./transl.rt)
