23/12/2009 (Agence Europe) - The European Union is "deeply concerned" by the death sentence pronounced by the Federal High Court of Ethiopia against five persons in the Ginbot7 trials. In a statement published on 22 December on behalf of the Twenty-Seven, the Swedish Presidency recalls that the EU is opposed to the death penalty "in all cases".
