14/12/2009 (Agence Europe) - The French National Research Agency (ANR), the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (Inserm) and the pan-European Biobanking and Biomolecular Resources Research Infrastructure (BBMRI) are organising a one-day conference bringing together representatives from academia and industry in Paris on 16 December to discuss how to foster health-related research using biological resources, including the role of public-private partnerships. BBMRI is one of the 44 initiatives selected for funding under the 7th Community research framework programme (FP7). It is a network of 51 members (universities, research centres, ministries) and more than 190 associated partners from 29 European countries. (O.J./transl.rt)
