14/12/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 14 December 2009, the European Commission cleared Occidental Petroleum Corporation (of the United States)'s plan to buy up another US company, Phibro LLC, which is part of Citigroup. Occidental is active in oil and gas exploration and production and other businesses. Phibro trades in gas, metals, commodities and commodities derivatives. (O.L.)
