Commission to propose revision of holiday travel directive in autumn 2010

Brussels, 26/11/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 26 November, the European Commission announced its intention to propose revision, in autumn 2010, of the 1990 directive on package holidays, which no longer fit in with the holiday market of today. Millions of Europeans, who make up their own packages, often online, need to be better protected against insolvency, the European Commission says, launching a consultation exercise on this theme until 7 February 2010.
