Mariann Fischer Boel and MEPs defend strong, reformed common agricultural policy

Brussels, 11/11/2009 (Agence Europe) - At a workshop in Brussels on Tuesday 10 November on the future of the common agricultural policy (CAP) post-2013, when the current financial framework comes to an end, Mariann Fischer Boel and most of the members of the committee on agriculture of the European Parliament defended keeping in place a strong but reformed CAP.

The agriculture commissioner started her speech by saying that she believed "very firmly that we need a strong CAP for the future"....
