Brussels, 09/11/2009 (Agence Europe) - More than 120 representatives of civil society, human rights and women's rights organisation from the Mediterranean and European countries met in Istanbul on 24-25 October to prepare recommendations for the euro-Mediterranean ministerial meeting on reinforcing the role of women in society, to be held in Morocco 11-12 November 2009.
According to a press release, these recommendations are based on an assessment of the implementation of the ministerial conclusions on reinforcing the role of women in society, laid down jointly in the Istanbul Action Plan (IAP).
