29/10/2009 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has announced that it will refer Ireland to the Court of Justice of the European Communities, and is considering financial sanctions for failure to implement an earlier ruling (case C-148/05) on quality standards for shellfish waters on the Irish coast.
