European Parliament Committee ratifies final compromise on ‘Control Regulation’

27/06/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 27 June, the European Parliament’s Committee on Fisheries endorsed (by 20 votes to 8) the Interinstitutional Agreement on the Regulation on fisheries control (see EUROPE B13203A15). The European Parliament still has to formally adopt this text after the summer break. It covers the margins of tolerance when declaring catches and monitoring recreational fishing.
