11/12/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 10 December, the European Commission approved aid of PLN 24 million (about €6.2 million) for restructuring in favour of the Polish cast iron producer, Odlewnia Zeliwa “Srem” (OZS). After an indepth investigation, the Commission concluded that restructuring measures were appropriate to restore the company's viability, that aid was limited
to the essential minimum and that it did not entail undue competition distortion. The Commission
therefore came to the conclusion that the aid was in line with EU provisions on the restructuring of companies in difficulty. (O.L./transl.jl)
