19/04/2007 (Agence Europe) - On 17 April, the European Commission adopted a report on experience acquired in the application of Regulation (EC) No 437/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 February 2003 on statistical returns in respect of the carriage of passengers, freight and mail by air. The document concluded that the results obtained on the implementation of Regulation 437/2003 can be considered, in general, as “very positive”. It also outlines the short-and-long-term efforts to be made in terms of data gathering to ensure a level of quality in the statistics to be able to adequately support the Community air transport policy.
