11/09/2026 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 10 September, the European Union released €90,000 in emergency aid for Kyrgyzstan to support populations affected by the floods and mudslides that occurred last July. The funding will enable the Kyrgyz Red Crescent to meet the essential needs, including food, medicines, clothing and transport, of 1,600 people from vulnerable households. Families will also receive information on access to drinking water, hygiene and disease prevention, as well as psychological support. Particular attention will be paid to households headed by women, those including people with disabilities and those with limited resources. (JM)
