15/07/2014 (Agence Europe) - Former Ukrainian President Victor Yanukovych and several of his ministers take Council sanctions to court. 14 former Ukrainian political figures and members of their families brought an appeal before the Court of Justice of the EU in mid-May, against the decisions of the Council to include them on the list of individuals under sanction (freezing of assets and ban on entering the territory of the EU). These individuals include Victor Yanukovych and his two sons and former prime ministers Mykola Azarov and Serhiy Arbuzov. 72 people are currently covered by the restrictive measures imposed by the EU in relation to the crisis in Ukraine.
