11/03/2013 (Agence Europe) - Competition: Goldman Sachs-TPG Lundy/Britannia Living Group. On 11 March 2013, the European Commission authorised the joint buy-up of British company Britannia Living Group Limited (kitchen appliances and equipment, spare parts and after-sales services) by US investment bank Goldman Sachs and TPG Lundy, a new investment company based in the Cayman Islands and ultimately controlled by private US investment company TPG Group. After a standard investigation, the European Commission decided that the deal would not raise any competition concerns because the companies controlled by Goldman Sachs or TPG Group do not operate in the same markets as Britannia, or in any related markets.
