03/02/2011 (Agence Europe) - Jerzy Buzek says the EP supports the Hungarian Presidency priorities. Job creation, growth, EU enlargement, energy, legislation (particularly setting up a legal backdrop to economic governance), integrating minorities and Roma issues are very important as far as MEPs are concerned, explained the president of the European Parliament, Jerzy Buzek (EPP, Poland) to Hungarian press agency MTI on Tuesday 1st February. On the same day, Buzek met with Hungarian politician László Köver, whose country currently holds the rotating presidency of the EU. Their talks focused on cooperation between the EP and the Hungarian parliament over the first six months of this year and preparing for the upcoming joint parliamentary meeting. (A.By./transl.fl)
