10/09/2009 (Agence Europe) - The Observatoire social européen (OSE) and the Federal Public Service Social Security are organising a public debate to be held in Brussels on 30 September on the theme: “The Gender Dimension of Job Quality”, to be presented by Colette Fagan, Professor of Sociology and Co-Director of the European Work and Employment Research Centre at the University of Manchester (UK). Maria Jespen, Head of Research Department, European Trade Union Institute (ETUI), will discuss Ms Fagan's presentation. The debate is organised within the framework of RECWOWE (Reconciling Work and Welfare Network of Excellence). “Our objective”, an OSE press release states, “is to develop an ongoing and structured dialogue between the research community, policy makers in charge of labour market and welfare policies, as well as social partners, NGOs and practitioners”.
