04/08/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 4 August 2009, the Commission approved the take over of part of the giant petrochemicals company, the Dow Chemical Company. Dow Refinery Business (DRB) currently controls 45% of the capital in the Dutch Tal Raffinaderij Nederland NV (TRN) company. The shares and assets involved will be taken over by the Russian oil company OAO Lukoil. The operation was examined according to simplified procedure. (C.D.trans/rh)
