19/06/2009 (Agence Europe) - Chris Davies (ALDE, UK), who was re-elected to the European Parliament on 4 June, has been rewarded by the electricity industry association, Eurelectric, for his work on carbon capture and storage (CCS). Mr Davies was rapporteur on the directive on geological storage of carbon dioxide, adopted in 2009 within the energy/climate framework. (E.H./transl.jl)
