23/03/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 24 and Wednesday 25 March in Brussels, the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) will meet for a plenary session under the presidency of Mario Sepi. This session will be characterised by the adoption of a resolution, “A programme for Europe: proposals for Civil Society”. This document presents a vision of the EESC for Europe, as well as recommendations for the new European Parliament and new Commission. The EESC is also expected to adopt two opinions, one on the European recovery plan (discussed during the EESC on 17 March, which EUROPE will be returning to) and the other on the Globalisation Adjustment Fund.
