Brussels, 09/03/2009 (Agence Europe) - The Burgundy Region and its public and private partners in the PROCURE consortium are holding a European conference on the dematerialisation of public procurement in Brussels on 16-17 March. The event will provide the opportunity to inform representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and the European regions of the results of almost two years' of work within the PROCURE European project. The aim was to develop, for example, ways of pooling costs related to the award of contracts for contracting entities, and simplifying procedures for SMEs. The project's partner regional authorities are Central Bohemia (Czech Republic), Piedmont (Italy), Uddevalla (Sweden) and two French regions, Brittany and the overseas department of Guadeloupe.
