25/02/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 25 February, the European Commission authorised Luxembourg, until 31 December 2010, to grant aid of up to €500,000 to businesses likely to have a structural impact on the national or regional economy. The aim of the aid is to give a shot in the arm to businesses affected by the current economic situation without causing undue competition distortion. The scheme meets the conditions set by the Commission's temporary framework. (L.C./transl.rt)
