Brussels, 16/02/2009 (Agence Europe) - In 2007, unemployment at the regional level varied widely in the EU27, from 2.1% in Zeeland (in the Netherlands) to 25.2% in the French overseas territory of La Réunion. Of the 271 EU27 'NUTS' regions (Nomenclature for Territorial Units for Statistics, level 2) for which statistics are available, 28 had levels of unemployment of 3.5% or below in 2007, half the EU27 average.
