Czech Republic to propose very limited list of high labour intensive services benefiting from reduced VAT rates

Brussels, 10/02/2009 (Agence Europe) - European finance ministers are tired of tackling the question of reduced VAT (value added tax) rates month after month. They note that positions have not changed. Most member states are in favour of reduced indirect taxation while a number of countries, with Germany to the fore, doubt such a measure would be effective.
