Brussels, 06/01/2009 (Agence Europe) - During their second summit in Rio de Janeiro before Christmas, the European Union and Brazil adopted a three-tear action plan (EUROPE 9810). This plan lists five priority areas for cooperation: peace and global security; economic partnership, social and environmental; regional cooperation, science, technology and innovation; interpersonal exchanges. The two partners will examine some of the progress achieved before their next summit in 2011.
