13/11/2008 (Agence Europe) - In a press release, the co-president of the Greens/EFA Group, Monica Frassoni, criticised the decision taken on Thursday 13 November by the Conference of Presidents of the political groups at the European Parliament, which appointed three representatives from the Parliament to the inter-institutional working group on interest groups. The three representatives are German Christian Democrat Ingo Friedrich, German Social Democrat Jo Leinen and British Liberal Democrat Diana Wallis. The Greens believe that it is scandalous that only the three main groups are represented in a group in charge of work on lobbying, in view of adopting a common register and code of conduct for pressure groups.
