French schools dominate Europe. - According to a Financial Times league table, French business schools dominate Europe: no fewer than 6 French schools are in the top ten. The league table is particularly geared to the ability of graduates to obtain a job and the level of pay. HEC (France) is in the lead for the third consecutive year, followed by ESCP-EAP (France, United Kingdom, Germany, Spain and Italy) in second place with its “integrated courses”. CEMS (Community of European Management Schools), bringing together 23 academic institutions and support from around 50 companies) is in third place, and the London School of Economic is in fourth place. The French schools of Grenoble EM, Essec and EM Lyon are in fifth, sixth and seventh place respectively. The Rotterdam School of Management (Netherlands) is eighth, Edhec (France) ninth and the Mannheim Business School (Germany) tenth. (I.L.)
