06/10/2008 (Agence Europe) - EUROCHAMBRES, the Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry, is holding the first European Parliament of Enterprises in Brussels on 14 October. The event, which will bring together 770 company representatives from 45 European countries, will be opened by European Parliament President Hans-Gert Pöttering. It will comprise three themed sessions to be chaired by Arlene McCarthy (PES, UK) and Internal Market Commissioner Charlie McCreevy, Guido Sacconi (PES, Italy) and Energy Commissioner Andris Piebalgs, and Angelika Niebler (EPP-ED, Germany) and Industry Commissioner Günter Verheugen.
