Brussels, 27/08/2008 (Agence Europe) - ECHO, the European Commission's humanitarian aid department, is closely monitoring the situation in Haiti after the devastation caused by Hurricane Gustav, and is ready to provide a rapid response, if needed, once the storm has passed, says the Commission in a press release on 27 August.
