08/04/2008 (Agence Europe) - In a declaration published on 7 April, the EU welcomes the power sharing agreement signed on 28 February by president Mwai Kibaki and the head of the opposition, Raila Odinga. Faced with the difficulties of forming a government of national unity since then, the EU “urges the parties to maintain the momentum for reconciliation by forming an effective and efficient coalition government as soon as possible”.
