19/03/2008 (Agence Europe) - Two member states of the EU, Hungary and Bulgaria, as well as a candidate country, Croatia, recognised the independence of Kosovo on 19 March. Belgrade immediately responded by affirming that countries recognising Kosovo “would not be able to count on good relations” with Serbia. According to our information, 17 EU countries have so far recognised the new state. (H.B.)
