19/03/2008 (Agence Europe) - Italian trade unions are resisting the offer made by the Air France-KLM group to acquire the Italian airline Alitalia. Accepting the current terms would be an “unconditional surrender”, according to the leaser of the national union CGIL Fabrizio Solari. Air France-KLM intends to get rid of 1600 jobs at Alitalia, and reduce the use of Milan Malpensa airport.
