18/03/2008 (Agence Europe) - The acting president of the Council of the EU, the Slovenian minister for foreign affairs, Dimitrij Rupel, began his tour of the Middle East on Tuesday 18 March with a visit to Cairo. Mr Rupel expressed concern at the recent events that had cost the life of many Israelis and Palestinians and the bad humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
