Commission is to suggest a date for concluding accession talks - dispute over fishing zone is settled

Brussels, 13/03/2008 (Agence Europe) - In its next progress report due in October, the Commission is to propose an indicative date for the “technical” conclusion of membership talks with Croatia - most likely by autumn 2009. This was announced by Commission President José Manuel Barroso, after an interview with Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader in Brussels on Thursday 13 March.
