06/03/2008 (Agence Europe) - At the opening of the meeting of the EP's sub-committee on security and defence, on Thursday 6 March, its chairman, German Christian Democrat Karl von Wogau, paid tribute to the French soldier serving with EUFOR Chad/RCA, who was killed during a reconnaissance patrol near the Sudan border. The sub-committee observed a one minute silence. (O.J.)
