European trade unions call for international law to be upheld and for peace talks to be resumed

Brussels, 06/03/2008 (Agence Europe) - Reacting to the declaration by the Palestine General Federation of Trade Unions (PGFTU), the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) Executive Committee called, on Wednesday 5 March, for an immediate cessation of the violent actions by Israel and Hamas. It also called for Israel and the Palestinian Authorities to return to the negotiating table.
