14/02/2008 (Agence Europe) - The Committee of Permanent Representatives (Coreper) approved, on Thursday 14 February, a one-year extension of the mandates of several EU special representatives (EUSR). Decisions concern Marc Otte (EUSR Middle East), Miroslav Lajcak (EUSR Bosnia-Herzegovina), Erwan Fouéré (EUSR Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia) and Peter Semneby (EUSR South Caucasus). Their mandate has been extended until 28 February 2009. That of Francesc Vendrell (EUSR Afghanistan) has been extended until 31 May 2008. (A.By.)
