12/02/2008 (Agence Europe) - It emerged at a meeting of the Special Agricultural Committee (SAC) on Monday 11 February, that a qualified majority of member states at the Council seems to have formed in favour of the idea of extending for a year the linen and flax farmer aid scheme. The proposal will be adopted by the Council as soon as the European Parliament has published its opinion on the matter, probably in April 2008. (L.C.)
