11/02/2008 (Agence Europe) - As part of the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue 2008, the European Parliament has organised a festival of the best European films, starting on 13 February and due to run for the whole year. The festival will be run under the aegis of the EUNIC (European Union National Institutes for Culture) and the films chosen will be representative of European cultural diversity. These films will be shown in the “Espace Yehudi Menuhin” of the EP (“Paul-Henri Spaak” building) and will be accessible to members of the European Parliament, staff of cultural centres and embassies, accredited press and all people holding an access badge. Each film will be shown two or three times each month and a debate will be held on the film after each showing. “Edge of Heaven”, which won the LUX prize awarded by the Parliament, will set the ball rolling on Wednesday 13 February.
