Top priority of Slovenian EU Presidency is to step up fight against illegal fishing

Brussels, 24/01/2008 (Agence Europe) - The dossier on stepping up the fight against illegal, undeclared and unregulated (IUU) fishing activity tops the list of the Slovenian presidency's priorities, the Slovenian minister for agriculture, forests and food, Iztok Jarc, announced on Wednesday 23 January when he presented the fisheries working programme to the members of the relevant European Parliament committee.
