26/09/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 26 September, the Agriculture Council failed to take a stance on the proposals aimed at authorising the marketing of three varieties of genetically modified maize, all intended for human consumption and animal feed. The varieties in question are Maize 59122 (Pioneer Overseas Corporation), Maize 1507xNK603 (Pioneer Overseas Corporation and Dow AgroSciences Europe) and Maize NK603xMON810 (Monsanto).
