24/09/2007 (Agence Europe) - “The need to spend time fulfilling administrative requirements reduces the time available for entrepreneurial initiative”, declared Vice-President of the Commission Günter Verheugen at the launch, on Friday 21 September, of the website: http: //ec.europa.eu/enterprise/admin-burdens-reduction. As a result of this initiative, any company boss who chooses to take the time to make proposals on reducing the administrative burden he or she has to deal with has a new instrument of expression. This new website, which will be available in all of the languages of the EU, is similar to on-line questionnaires which already exist in Belgium, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Portugal. A consortium made up of Cap Gemini, Deloitte and Ramboll Management has also been asked to assess the administrative charges caused by European legislation and its application at national level, Mr Verheugen announced.
