25/07/2007 (Agence Europe) - In the conclusions adopted on Monday, the Council welcomes the end of the presidential election process within the Albanian Parliament which on Friday 20 July elected Bamir Topi as the new president. His five year mandate will succeed Alfred Moisiu, who was due to step down from the post on Tuesday 24 July. (ab)
