The Dutch company, TOM TOM, which is the number one GPS equipments producer in Europe, is to launch a friendly bid for the acquisition of another Dutch firm, TELEATLAS, for the sum of €1.8 billion (€21.25 per share). With this deal, TOM TOM plans to achieve an annual turnover of between €1.6 and 1.8 billion.
