ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) banks

The real estate financing group, HYPO REAL ESTATE, has launched a friendly bid worth €5.7 billion on DEPFA BANK, provider of financial services to the public sector. Both groups will have a combined market value of around €10 billion with 2,000 employed and assets of €385 billion.
