09/07/2007 (Agence Europe) -Javier Solana, the EU high representative for the CFSP, met the NATO secretary general, Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, on Monday 9 July to speak essentially of Kosovo and Afghanistan. On Tuesday 10 July, Mr Solana will receive the UN secretary general, Ban Ki-moon, in Brussels. The two men will discuss the latest developments in the Balkans - including the future status of Kosovo - as well as the situation in the Middle East and in Afghanistan, and that in Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo. On Thursday 12 July, Mr Solana will be in Paris for a meeting with French President Nicolas Sarkozy and Hervé Morin, France's defence minister. (hb)
