Brussels, 04/07/2007 (Agence Europe) - In May 2007, compared to May 2006, the volume of retail trade grew by 0.4% in the Euro area and by 1.8% in the EU27. Compared to April 2007, the retail sales index fell by 0.5% and 0.1% respectively. Among the member states for which data are available, total retail trade rose in eleven member states and fell in six.
