21/06/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 21 June, the European Commission adopted a preliminary draft correcting budget (the fifth this year) for the current Community budget to allow the updating of traditional own resources (customs duties, agricultural duties and sugar production levies), VAT bases and Gross National Income (GNI), as well as funding of the British correction. The proposal aims to pay the surplus of the Guarantee Fund for External Actions back to member states. (lc)
