16/05/2007 (Agence Europe) - During the international film festival in Cannes, eleven films co-funded from the European Union's MEDIA programme were selected. The 2007 MEDIA programme has a budget of €755 million for a period of 7 years and aims to preserve competitiveness in the European audiovisual sector. Ministers from member states in charge of culture and audio-visual subjects will be taking part in the fifth Europe day, in Cannes on 26 May. (gc)
