Dutch publisher Wolters Kluwer has sold its education division to the investment fund, Bridgepoint Capital, for the sum of €774 million, specifying that it would pay back around €475 million to its shareholders through the repurchase of shares. The education branch of Wolters Kluwer made a turnover of €316 million in 2006 and employs 1,450 in seven European countries.
